Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how VelineArt ("we", "us", "I") collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal information across our website (velineart.com), our Etsy shop, and our Pinterest API integration. It is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is in addition to, and should be read together with, Etsy's Privacy Policy and Pinterest's Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
VelineArt is an independent digital art studio selling printable wall art and digital downloads through Etsy. The owner and data controller is Lenny Ojong. For any privacy question or request, contact us at lennyarret@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Website visitors — this is a simple, mostly static website. We do not run advertising trackers or sell data. Our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running.
- Etsy customers — to fulfil orders we rely on information Etsy shares with us: your name, email address, delivery/billing details where relevant, order information, and any messages you send through Etsy. We never receive or store your payment card details; payments are handled securely by Etsy.
- Pinterest integration — we use the official Pinterest API solely to publish and schedule Pins to our own Pinterest business account. See section 5 for full detail.
3. Why we use your information (lawful bases)
- To perform our contract — processing your order and delivering digital files.
- Legal obligations — keeping records for tax and accounting.
- Consent — where you have given it (for example optional updates); you may withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests — protecting against fraud or abuse and responding to your enquiries.
4. Information sharing
We share personal information only as needed to operate, and only with: Etsy (which hosts our shop and the transaction); service providers that help us deliver files or run the business, limited to what they need; and legal or regulatory authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Pinterest API and Pinterest-derived data
- We use the official Pinterest API to publish and schedule Pins to our own Pinterest business account, linking back to our own product pages.
- This website and our related application/integration are independent and are not endorsed by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or otherwise associated with Pinterest. "Pinterest" is a trademark of Pinterest, Inc.
- Through Pinterest's OAuth consent flow we access only our own Pinterest account. We do not collect, access, store, or process the personal data of any other Pinterest user, and we do not scrape Pinterest or automate any action against other users' accounts.
- What happens to Pinterest-derived data: any data we obtain from the Pinterest API (such as the status of our own Pins, board information, or basic performance metrics for our own account) is used solely to create, schedule, and measure our own content. We store it only as long as needed for that purpose and then delete it. We do not use it to build profiles of other users or for any unrelated purpose.
- We do not sell, rent, share, redistribute, or otherwise make available Pinterest content or any Pinterest-derived data to any third party.
- Questions about our Pinterest integration can be sent to lennyarret@gmail.com.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal obligations (e.g. tax record-keeping), after which we securely delete or anonymise it.
7. International transfers
Etsy and Pinterest operate internationally, so your information may be processed outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by GDPR.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, email lennyarret@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Children
Our shop and website are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
